Hey, I tried the whole groups thing, but your suggestion for isolating the groups in a list and away from the home feed doesn't work for me, they show up anyway:
@Eeveecraft@dragonscave.space
Hmm... that shouldn't be happening...
Did you save the settings after selecting hide replies in home?
Also, based on that screenshot, are you using the advanced web mode?
@FediTips@social.growyourown.services Yes, I'm using advanced mode to have multiple feeds. And I did save the settings multiple times and it didn't fix it.
@Eeveecraft@dragonscave.space
Could you try doing all this again in the non-advanced mode? I'm trying to narrow down where the problem might be 🙂
@FediTips@social.growyourown.services Just did and it did not fix it. All the groups are still showing up in my home feed.
@Eeveecraft@dragonscave.space
Okay, thanks for trying!
Might need to ask the maintainer of the software in that case.
Hey @hello@fedigroups.social there's a case here where someone has followed a group from fedigroups.social and it is showing up in their Home timeline despite being on a List and the list being set to hide from Home. (Thread begins above at https://dragonscave.space/@Eeveecraft/115917012291401543 )
Do you know if this is typical behaviour? Is there any chance this is a bug at your end?

I've tried a few different server types and they all work as I would expect them to.
* Create a list
* Add the group Name to the List
* Ask the List to Hide from the Timeline.
They posts for the group then appear only in the list.
I even tried this on the mastodon flagship server (mastodon.social) and it worked.
V odd that you are not getting those results.
Some server take a little while for the list rules to take affect -- max 30 minutes
