@julie@merida.hair I think I remember when that happened. Of course there was rampant criticism about it from people, but iirc Fauci basically said while it's still an ongoing pandemic, it's become an endemic one that we can't remain in a state of permanent emergency over, same as flu or whatever. So it has to transition into being managed in a "normal" fashion as a serious, but pretty well known and understood disease.
