With age I'm getting really hard to please. Great potential but - it just had to devolve into an animal hunt. Should appeal to ten-year old viewers.

A dollar for every time the alien appears behind its heavily-armed victim, who turns around and instead of reflexively firing their weapon at the alien, instead stares lovingly into its eyes until... crunch.

Sigh.

@Sheep_Overboard@infosec.exchange IMHO every part of the Alien franchise since Aliens has willfully misunderstood what made Alien great (I'll accept arguments that Alien3 at least partly understood the assignment). I'm not surprised this doesn't do anything interesting but I'll probably still watch it and resent it. :)

Yes, I'll be be watching, and probably crying. Having trouble too with Star Trek Strange New Worlds. Trying to excuse it for doing what TOS probably did in every second ep., and that I'm only remembering the really good episodes from 60 years ago!

It's not too bad, and certainly tries to capture the mood and feel of TOS. Mount is a very good Kirk-like Pike. Still averse soapy staff relationships and never sure whether to forgive them when they try to be flippant 😶
