@farewell_ladmin@infosec.exchange I used a decent glass mounted antenna on an older car of mine, but for HAM use, some of the MFJ models had HUGE couplings that were fairly ugly.

For my scanner, I got a "Y" adapter for the car's built in aerial, since botht the car radio and scanner were RX only.

@kajer@infosec.exchange I have a sharkfin on mine, I'd probably get some use out of it but given that I scan stuff from 136 all the way up to 900 I doubt it would get everything

I picked up the Tram glass mounts, they're fairly non bulky but we'll see how they work compared to my incredibly overkill tri-band mag mounted antennae
