Allow me to address the elephant in the room:

The Trump administration is not setting the course for a four-year term.

The Trump administration is setting the course for an everlasting dictatorship.

If Americans don’t want that, the window to stop them is closing quickly.

@Strandjunker@mstdn.social The speed at which the Trump regime is acting makes me think the plan is for a 2 year stint after which the King will be impeached by a democratic senate/house. The King has to make sure that his legal immunity is preserved and that bribes keep on flowing and that his bribed 747 from Quatar is delivered to him when he leaves with full "Air Force 1" interior (but no fancy military systems).

And once impeached and thrown out, Trump will go nuts with his web site to denounce democrats and promote Don Jr as next president.

When the Nazis have occupied the Capitol with armed force and taken over the TV station, the coup d'etat is pretty much done.

@Strandjunker@mstdn.social too many people who should know better and should step up are not. they're sitting on the sidelines hoping that they won't have to do anything but vote. they're failing.

@Strandjunker@mstdn.social Why are more people not sounding the alarm about this! Isn’t it plainly obvious?
He has no regard for rule of law, tried to leverage state officials in Georgia to falsify results in past election, is doing everything possible to prevent fair elections in the future, so why would we expect he would leave the White House at the end of 4 years? Even the β€œtemporary” occupation of Washington DC by the National Guard may have a hidden purpose in the near future! Beware.

Unless they can invent some sort of sci-fi cure all healing pod fairly soon, I don't think you have to worry about Trump for that much longer. He is falling apart physically.
And with the science cuts they are making, I don't think that breakthrough is imminent.
Once he is gone they will be fighting each other like rats in a sack (they already are a bit).

@Strandjunker@mstdn.social I’m hoping he doesn’t last his full 4 years.
He’s 80 years old. High cholesterol and heart disease are the nation’s best friends in this situation.
Send him McDonald’s and Pizza Hut gift cards.
He needs at least one Big Mac and one extra large Meat Lover’s pizza a day.

And it will not be accomplished using defensive methods in courts or via elections. The "administration" is as much an invasion as the British in 1812, as much an attack on the US Government as the Confederacy. It is war. Blue States can secede, or just withhold funds and then gamble that the military wont blindly follow Hegseth. Maybe foreign allies will support, as France and Germany did in 1776. Short of something like that, it IS already too late

@Strandjunker@mstdn.social well he’s gonna die, sooner rather than later. Hitler founded a thousand year reich and offed himself. Succession is a problem with these things.

@Strandjunker@mstdn.social allow me to respectfully respond to that elephant:

It isn’t going to happen because this is exactly what the majority of white Americans wanted. We have to stop being delusional about the situation and plan accordingly.

@Strandjunker@mstdn.social Exactly. How can anyone think that projects such as a $200 million gilded ballroom larger than the White House itself, and a plane from the Saudis that will need at least $1 billion of modifications before its even ready to be Air Force One - neither of which will be completed during Trump's current term! - are presents for the next guy after a peaceful transition? Republicans aren't known for their generosity.

They plan on clinging to power forever. The USA is now a dictatorship.

@Strandjunker@mstdn.social Plus, the last time Trump was voted out in a national election, he incited a violent insurrection to seize the Presidency by force. Had it gone according to plan, pipe bombs would have gone off, Nancy Pelosi would have been murdered on social media livestream, and Trump would have been there in person to announce the restoration of democracy. Only the Secret Service stopped him.

Adjust to the new reality: the Republican Fascist Party will
never leave unless dragged screaming.
