I must add I see how the thread led to it; but we must never dismiss genuine loneliness in anyone: to simply say 'go make friends' is crass. If you're talking about INCEL and the Andrew Tate crap, then you have a point.

Look, I could write a 10,000 character or more piece of discourse about my feelings about "loneliness". But it mainly boils down to:
Loneliness impacts everyone
The root cause is capitalism and patriarchy
It's not women's responsibility to take the lead in solving the problems that were overwhelmingly created by ... You guessed it ... Men.
The most direct way to try and heal loneliness is to make acquaintances and eventually friendships with other people

So yes, making friends is really fucking difficult. But there's no other "cure" for loneliness. And it's not women's collective responsibility to step up and nurture men's feelings. We got enough of our own problems.
