my suggestions so far have been
just call me "my ex" without connecting it to me. it was five years ago anyway
talk about heredity in terms of "the other biological parent" or "the sperm donor" instead of connecting it to me. i'm his parent either way

@jasmine@chaosfem.tw I saw this reply out of context and misunderstood it to mean you were referring to your pre-transition self as “my ex” and even though that’s not the case I really like that idea. “We all have That One Ex, am I right, girls? Mine was too insecure to let me dress how I wanted, talk to other people, or even leave the house without him. He’s dead now.”
