I was just reminded of this recent article
"Top 10 Jobs Facing The Highest AI Disruption
1- Interpreters and Translators
2- Historians
3- Passenger Attendants
4- Sales Representatives of Services

I didn't become a writer because it was not a safe job. I didn't expect this either.
@stephanie@ottawa.place if Duolingo or any of the βmapβ apps are anything to go by with respect to AI, youβll be just fine for a long time to come - probably until they realize that all this AI hype is overselling and underperforming. @stephanie@ottawa.place I often think of something my daughter told me when she started university: her βedgeβ over many of the others in her science program was that SHE made the choice to be there-not us, her parents, unlike so many of her classmates.
@stephanie@ottawa.place
I've done more with my BA than any pigeon-holed engineer, or professional. It's your dad who is the disappointment.
