Headed out earlier to the last public training session at the RCMP Police Dog Service Training Centre just outside of Innisfail, Alberta.

It is a training event for potential police dogs (most about 18 months - 2 years). It is also a training event for Mounties who want to become police dog handlers.

Over 1000 people were there to watch these fantastic animals & Mounties run through all sorts of training...from obedience to crunching a bad guy's arm.

People from Europe, South America, and all over Canada came out to see. Free of charge to everyone...they are trying to organize 2 sessions a month next summer. Bucket list ✔✔

Made my Candian heart warm and "Fuck the Alberta Provincial Police".

An arena space with green grass, dog agility jumps, and PUPPIES! Three 6 week old German Shepherd puppies from the RCMP breeding program following their human leader go over a small bridge. In the background, there are people, a bunch of Mounties (not in red serge), a large red building-type structure used for training both dogs & humans.

While hubs puts together 1 of 3 flat packs we picked up today in Calgary...I am on the couch with a cold beer watching 'Shetland' on BritBox. I know my place!!

On a totally different note, since the plastic bag ban...there are far fewer plastic bags and noticeable garbage along the deuce. Way to go, Canada!!
