Kevin LeecasterGeorge Monbiot, and his adherents, may have their hearts in the right place, but they are wrong about trying to get climate action this way.
We should be trying to recruit farmers onto our side to get everyone to stop burning fossil fuels first and then move on to tackle other arenas of concern.

It's hard to get anything at all done without persuading people to your cause, and posts like that one from him are an amazing tool for alienating people and breeding hostility to your cause.
Fwiw I have noticed his writing decline in recent months too. He's always been a mixed bag but now virtually every piece he puts out is barmy.
