@EdwinG@mstdn.moimeme.ca We really will do anything but take space away from cars will we?
π
@EdwinG@mstdn.moimeme.ca when I saw CBC announcement, I thought San Francisco cable cars. It is only when I saw your bilingual post that Β« tΓ©lΓ©phΓ©rique Β» put the right meaning. France has setup some tΓ©lΓ©phΓ©riques as transit I think it may be good option in difficult terrain. (Such as islands, crossing rivers). But is low capacity.
@EdwinG@mstdn.moimeme.ca Iβd love to see an east / west cable car over the mountain. Imagine being able to get between the Plateau and NDG without having to go via downtown?
@jfmezei@mstdn.ca According to Antidote, the correct translations are:
- Cableway
- Cable car
- Aerial tramway
@heliomass@mstdn.ca For the Mount Royal, in that direction, I would do a tram, basically bringing back route 11.

I would do the cable car up and down the mount Royal from downtown :-) Or over the Saint Lawrence River in the west/east.
@EdwinG@mstdn.moimeme.ca A tram would make sense. But the cable car would have the better views π
