@sortius@infosec.exchange Iβll be in Melbourne next week and will be hitting up the Arab barber at Watergardens for a full head shave.
@trib@aus.social it's a truly amazing experience. I can imagine as a bald person it's something that you just can't get at a normal barber
@sortius@infosec.exchange not in Bega. I used to go regularly in Canberra, either to a little Italian bloke who was my optometristβs Dad, or to the βJermyn Streetβ style barber where you could get a head shave, face shave, eyebrows, ears, and nose all done properly for $150.
@sortius@infosec.exchange @trib@aus.social FWIW Iβve been shaving my head since 1993. Usually using clippers.
Exactly once did I use a razor, which I did myself in the shower, and it was a complete pain in the arse.
I did it so I could go as Uncle Fester from The Addams Family for Halloween.
@troberts@theblower.au @sortius@infosec.exchange Iβm 57 now and have been bald since my early 30s. Clippers when I need a quick trim, safety razor in the shower if I want clean shaven, barber when Iβm near one.

@trib@aus.social @sortius@infosec.exchange Since Iβm long since past caring about what anyone else thinks about my haircut, itβs mostly about practicality and it feeling good.
Freshly clipped is probably my happiest time.
@trib@aus.social @troberts@theblower.au hehehe, and here's me, still hairy as hell at 45. Not a grey hair, either.
Drives my ex nuts, but that's my far northern Italian genetics π
@troberts@theblower.au @trib@aus.social yeh, I feel that. the 0.5 I got today has made my mohawk pop
