@sortius@infosec.exchange not in Bega. I used to go regularly in Canberra, either to a little Italian bloke who was my optometrist’s Dad, or to the “Jermyn Street” style barber where you could get a head shave, face shave, eyebrows, ears, and nose all done properly for $150.

@trib@aus.social yikes. I got my mohawk done today for $36.75, on Smith Street, where I struggle to find someone who'll charge under $50!!!

I remember the first time I went to an Arab barber, though. My ex-brother-in-law, on the day of his wedding, took all the dudes to get a full shave and haircut, because that was part of his Turkish heritage.

Ever since I've looked out for Arab barbers, just because the service is insanely good, especially for the price

@trib@aus.social sounds about right for a shave from chin to top. I reckon it'd be the same in Glenroy, or at the barber I went to today. It's a pretty standard Arab/Turk rate for the full works
