TFTFY

Whenever the exec says something along those lines, that just means that they dont want to pay market rates or want to import slaves from India.

@n_dimension@infosec.exchange @krypt3ia@infosec.exchange It can also mean that there is a genuine shortage, but they’re sitting on their hands waiting for someone else to spend the money to train the people required to satisfy their business needs instead of taking responsibility for doing it themselves.

@NewtonMark@eigenmagic.net @n_dimension@infosec.exchange The term "shortage" can be parsed as well as the notion of experienced or trained.

Many may be paper tigers.

Many may just be in it for the alleged six figures and be not so good.

But, there is no "shortage" of people with training, skills, and experience.

They are actively laying them off.

There is no shortage.
