οΈ Time to cool smarter, not harder.

When buying a fan or air conditioner, choose products with an βAβ rating on the EU energy label to:
β
Cut energy use
β
Reduce emissions
β
Save money
Thanks to Ecodesign and Energy Labelling, EU users saved β¬1.7B on aircon in 2020 β and could save β¬5.6B by 2030.
Smart energy choices = lower bills + fewer emissions.

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu And in the meantime you keep on subsidizing the meat-industry to boost emissions, got it.
@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu What's the energy label rating of datacentres that run AI?
@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu One private flight of a billionaire emits as many pollutants as I do in two years
@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu again, let's put the focus on individual decisions and not on the systemic issues... You are a joke.
@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu
That's great. Now do something about AI: their energy and water use is off the charts, it tends to be trained on copyrighted material the owner isn't paid for, spews out hallucinations, and enforces harmful stereotypes.
@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu That's great, now do something about the actual price on the shelf, because between Rating A and Rating C, D, E can be the difference between being able to afford and not afford the units in the first place.
@robchapman@ohai.social @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu Here's something to think about: how long do you have to run something before the total money spent is lower for the A-rated device compared to B, C, etc. rated one?
