A poem in the style of a sonnet, inspired by the mastoprompt word for 13th October 2025 - Lolly. I call this piece 'Kids in a sweet shop' A Treasure of flavours, locked behind glass Sinister smile, from the sugar bourgeois Naive temptation, hands warm up brass Enticing senses, in this sweet boudoir Tangy bright orange that makes the lips smack Chocolate mint circle in green foil wrap Sickly sweet lolly, rainbow powder crack The bell says its mine, so much to unwrap A sea of bright wrappers covers the floor Blow raspberry bubbles, sugar rush grows Telling dirty jokes that end in guffaws Almost at the end of this sweet sickly prose Kids in a sweet shop, moths to a fire Bellies may ache, but peer pressure's desire

A poem in the style of a sonnet, that I have called: The Treasure, inspired by the mastoprompt for the 10th October 2025, Variable Aching trees creak together in the wind Festooned between them hang garlands and vines The green hammock bobs slowly like a spring Sleepy hand holds empty bottle of wine The warm air carries sounds off the seashore A percussion gently brushing the stones Variable slaps on water from oars A smiling fisherman rows his way home Dancing sprites leap from the crackling embers Pirouetting up in light from the moon To be here in this moments the treasure We can all have a piece of this fortune Relax and be at peace with the world now Swinging on the wind, I close my eyes - Ciao

No run today (or yesterday), peeps :)
Ironing out some niggles, mainly joint stiffness & arthritic pain caused by joint loading in this extreme August humidity.

So my circuit training yesterday had a lot of hamstring, hip, knee, ankle mobility & stability work in there and that is the same again for today, along with calisthenics - hopefully I'll be OK for Thursday morning, but we'll see

That's the downside of living in a hot and humid country, as you get older
