Jess👾I don't know if autocorrect has gotten worse, my ability to spell "good enough" has, or both, but God, I have to copy paste words into a search engine to figure out the right way to spell it way to damn often these days
Jess👾I mean, if you're gonna stuff an "AI chip" in my phone already, then just cram a little GPT-2 model or something that can run locally and do literally what it's designed to do - a statistical analysis of words and tell you what the most likely word you are trying to spell based on your misspelling, and the words around it are.

Jess👾@avatastic@avatastic.uk Yeah, they used to work that way I think, but I was arguing with it for 5 minutes earlier today to get it to offer me the right suggestion for illiterate... Which is kinda ironic when I think about it.
