I mean, if you're gonna stuff an "AI chip" in my phone already, then just cram a little GPT-2 model or something that can run locally and do literally what it's designed to do - a statistical analysis of words and tell you what the most likely word you are trying to spell based on your misspelling, and the words around it are.

@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange Maybe it's nostalgia, but I'm pretty sure the T9 on my old Nokia 8310 'learned' my frequent mistakes and adjusted the autocarrot accordingly?

@avatastic@avatastic.uk Yeah, they used to work that way I think, but I was arguing with it for 5 minutes earlier today to get it to offer me the right suggestion for illiterate... Which is kinda ironic when I think about it.
