@ICareAboutTheWorld@mas.to Thanks. Those would be the most likely candidates as both are in area and have been spotted in the yard. Only ever seen small holes before which might be skunk, but these are much larger (and there is no residual "aroma". πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

Web says raccoons "flip over sod", so that could account for the intact dirt clod. I had them attack bird feeders (which is why I bring them in at night), but digging holes would be new for my yard.

I appear to have similar digging in parts of my yard...at 9,440 feet.

This photo does not show it, but sometimes I can see a very small entrance hole that is only about an inch and a half in diameter. I have no idea what Critter is making this.
