Absolutely wild what comes through the filters on LinkedIn. Advertising companies will track every keypress and mouse click or wayward screentap from cradle to grave, distill your every action down to a pixel-accurate simulacra of your most secret inner wants and needs and then tell you that the thing you should buy for your team, maybe your clients, is a toilet plunger for your face.

All of this administration's nonsensical nonsense, even if it's baseless technical errors, reminds me of an old line that things like this are like finding out that Hitler is trying to corner the global supply of manganese: even if you have no idea what's going on or why, you know who's involved and you have to assume the worst.

Just saw the CEO of GitHub say “we just did an unpublished study with 22 people in it and it’s official, AI is the future” and I had to imagine @grimalkina@mastodon.social suddenly sitting bolt upright, sniffing the air and looking around suspiciously for reasons she couldn’t immediately explain.
