Sometimes, when I hear men talk about how they think a relationship can work out based on their partner's good looks alone, it makes me feel at a complete loss.

I don't usually practice speaking English, so I tend to forget. For the SVOC structure, in English, are you supposed to put the stress on the S or on the V?

I think putting the stress on the V probably makes me sound more confident and composed when I speak slowly.

And, this is the sound from the Audio-Technica microphone this time. It's recording an overwhelmingly closer sound:

One more time. Here is the sound from the MacBook Pro's built-in microphone:

And here is the sound from the Audio-Technica USB condenser microphone (AT-2020USB-X):

I tested out my microphone while also getting some English-speaking practice in.

I'm considering using the stereo mic πŸŽ™πŸŽ™οΈ from a Zoom handy recorder for voice chats while working from home.

The reason is that since the other person on the call will be listening with stereo headphones, it will provide overwhelmingly more persuasiveness and presence compared to a mono mic.

Good morning, everyone on the fedi.

Yesterday, I went to Hadano City in Kanagawa Prefecture for Hatsumode
🧧🧧 (the first shrine visit of the year).

Hadano is famous for its peanuts. I bought some peanut butter
πŸ₯œπŸ₯œ at a local hot spring gift shop. It came in a small jar and cost 980 yen (about $6), but when I spread it on my toast 🍞🍞 this morning, it had a very refined peanut flavor that wasn't too sweet.

It has zero salt and is low in sugar. It's like this custom-made peanut butter was made just for me, even though I'm on a diet.

When I thoroughly savored the original flavor of the peanuts, unique to this premium peanut butter, I was reminded that obesity results solely from pursuing the high cost-performance of carbohydrates and that it is a disease of poverty.

The zodiac animal for 2026 is the Horse 🐴🐴.

Because of this, horse racing
πŸ‡πŸ‡ is expected to be widely promoted this year, and it is anticipated that countries in East Asiaβ€”such as Japan and Chinaβ€”will launch nationwide efforts to encourage people to become horse-racing πŸ‡πŸ‡ fans.
