Gregatron5Listening to music in car via CarPlay and get out mid-song. Hold phone near AirPod to transfer playing to AirPod. Listen for a while. Get back in car. CarPlay continues playlist not just mid-song where it stopped, but also continues the playlist replaying the exact same songs I just listened to.
Gregatron5Driving down Georgia Ave in DC and not only did an MPD car completely ignore a delivery truck and multiple cars parked in travel lanes, but it also turned on its lights to make an illegal u-turn in front of Walmart and then just turned them right back off again.
Not sure the federal takeover of MPD could make then actually any worse.
Gregatron5Get a coffee and croissant. Choose a seat far from a couple of young girls loudly gabbing and near solitary people sitting quietly. Person I sit next to starts watching a video loudly on his phone.
Gregatron5Just finished @twostraws@mastodon.socialβs 100 Days of SwiftUI. Pretty good tutorial overall, though I wish I had learned Swift before trying to mash it with SwiftUI.
The most important thing I learned is that modifiers return views from the bottom up. Itβs covered in thoroughly in one session, but every other discussion of modifiers talks about them from top down. Β―β \β _β (β γβ )β _β /β Β―
Two other niggles. Thereβs a whole project around accessibility, but itβs otherwise mostly ignored. And testing is nowhere to be found.

Gregatron5Iβm not surprised that when I cross reference this map of NPS parks in DC with the flight path of the NPS helicopter in my previous toot they basically donβt intersect at all. Itβs like theyβre trying to not fly over actual NPS land.
Even if you want to make the argument that there are a handful of tiny parks it flew over, I donβt think those parks justify ~$2000/hr flight cost of the helicopter.
