I knew it was bad, but oh boy.

Chart showing the average price of DDR5-5600 2x32GB memory from September 2024 to February 2026. For most of the time, the price was stable between 200 and 300 €, but it has now risen to over 1000€.

@nileane@nileane.fr Yeah. I heard it live, and it made me angry enough to actually pay for a membership just to be able to say that comment about queer employees. Glad they picked it up, but disappointed how they dismissed it.
It’s true, Apple is still better than others (no change in DEI policies, still releasing products themed with queer flag colors), but that’s a low, low bar.

@nileane@nileane.fr In the chat, people said that if Cook resisted more, he‘d get fired and replaced by someone more in line with Trump‘s regime, so this is actually the best he can do. If that‘s realistic, I guess that’s a good argument? But I have no idea if it is.
