But the critical thing is that fossil fuel magnates are padding their massive bank accounts as fossil fuel production increases apace, according to their puppet governments. That’s the crucial benefit of promoting raging wildfires, so we just have to put up with it.

I think that nail, it’s been struck squarely. Though now in Trump’s America, enforcement applies only to his opponents. Canadians still ignore their laws. They’re just an inconvenience for industry. They’re there only so government can say that we have laws to control, e.g., environmental rape & pillaging. Only mugs take them seriously.
