Addition to my intro post:
The sweet LilyMonster went to Kitty Valhalla in June of 2024. I'd had her for 15 years and was more than a bit gutted.
But at the end of July, we brought home these two handsome gentlemen - Sean (grey & white) and Jorge (solid grey) and they have been doing a wonderful job of filling my heart.

OK, because we all need some good news - Francine, the Richmomd Lowes kitty that hitched a ride on a delivery truck on it's way to North Carolina HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS BACK HOME AT HER SHOP!

Good lord, just went to reheat a cup of coffee and managed to catch the edge of the microwave with the cup, dropped it on the cooktop and well, coffee EVERYWHERE.
Good news is:
- the cup is fine
- the cooktop is fine
- the cooktop is really clean now
I also need to add paper towels to the grocery list.
Errands really for real now done, and I don't want to do anything else, and Sean is helping me do nothing. 😻

Mission accomplished!
I firmly blame Betty & Julie of Trustbank FSB where I worked in college for taking me to the Clinique counter at Macy’s for the first time and telling me that it was way better than drugstore makeup. (They weren’t wrong - wasn’t much in the way of hypoallergenic stuff at the drugstore then and it was 50/50 if I was gonna react to it.)
30+ years later I’m out here buying Fenty & Urban Decay like I don’t work remotely and maybe do up my face three times a year. 🤣
But I have primer, foundation, eyeliner, and a very good replacement for my beloved discontinued mascara. (I was so mad when it disappeared, it was one of the only mascaras I'd found that didn't look like a tarantula was sitting on my eyes.)
I am steeling myself to go to Sephora, because I can't find my foundation and realized that I am 99.9% sure I tossed it last year after I had Covid. (This also tells you how often I put on makeup anymore, LOL.)
The good news is that I at least know the exact shade number, and I checked online and it is in stock, so in theory, I should be in and out in no time, with minimal damage to my bank balance.
