The scourge of configuring your #network:
"Hmm, I could do this differently…"

I must remember that different isn't necessarily better.

In my current case I realized I can eliminate a switch to better use the managed switch doing my incoming #VLAN tagging. The liberated switch then solves my other issue.

Yet, I might want to get a managed switch in there instead for a bit more VLAN tagging action.

There's always another configuration to consider.

Meanwhile I'm 3D printing a third round of cable holder clips.

I adapted this simple clip from a Printables model to accommodate a short drywall screw (cheap) for a very useful inexpensive solution to routing cables in an orderly, adjustable way.

A little plastic clip model has a U-shaped hole to hold a cable, and a chamfered hole to take a pan-head drywall screw nicely. Stresses are minimized so they don't all crack when you tighten the down, as some plastic clips can do.

They print so fast too. Another batch of ten here should get me through my needs for now.

Six freshly painted white plastic clips and two that have screws in them. A short black drywall screw fits very neatly in the clip.
