Sitting by a nice roaring fire, as one does on such a day as this. We don't have many fires, maybe four to six a year? About 3 logs per.
Doing a rough in-my-head calculation regarding GHG numbers, focusing on CO2, I see burning a litre of gasoline in a car contributes about 2.2kg of CO2. Burning a 1.5kg log contributes about the same.
My car gets about 20km per L of fuel (hwy), which was half my commute before I became a WFH consultant type. So I used to drive about two logs a day…
