I promise that when I reboot the Mozilla brand after their inevitable collapse, I will not make it "the modern AI (sic) browser."
https://blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/leadership/mozillas-next-chapter-anthony-enzor-demeo-new-ceo/
My platform for when I reboot the Mozilla brand:
1. It supports www, as well as Gopher, ftp, and the good Gemini
2. Using udm14 instead of Google, which will no longer be the default
3. Fully funding MDN and Gecko via taxes on web sales and kickass branded swag
4. so-called "AI" will not be shipped
Vote for me to be the next Mozilla CEO!
"I supported MDN and all I got was this t-shirt and open web documentation"
Come on, we'd all be wearing the crap out of that shirt.
Has anyone started a GoFundMe to buy the shattered husk of Mozilla branding for the inevitable collapse?
Maybe we can make them an offer, lol
@vkc@linuxmom.net Just go back to the Shepard Fairey dinosaur logo and you don't have to pay them anything. We bought that art outright and open sourced it.
@jwz@mastodon.social @vkc@linuxmom.net Fairey says "It didn’t pay a crazy amount of money, but it paid a lot better than stuff in skateboarding", although I can't find any sort of license for the dinosaur logo.
@th@social.v.st @vkc@linuxmom.net I am 99% certain this happened in 1998 or 1999, but I am no longer the keeper of Mozilla.org's intellectual property.
However, it's dangerous to go alone, take this: https://web.archive.org/web/20000822020849/https://www.mozilla.org/banners/
