Hot take: good riddance. I dislike the middle click thing. Trips me up all the time as someone who accidentally clicks it when scrolling.

I think the right move is to make this (undoubtedly useful to some) behavior opt-in, not opt-out.

A lot of the gripes I see are just people being mad because GNOME makes choices they don't like. I don't understand why people write like this about GNOME, if you don't like it don't use it, your emotions make you look petty, etc etc.

I'm convinced GitHub is doing this to force folks to sign in. I got this on my first visit today. I do not sign in to GitHub.

GitHub's "Too many requests" page, with a highlight around "signing in may provide a higher rate limit if you are not already signed in".

1. It supports www, as well as Gopher, ftp, and the good Gemini
2. Using udm14 instead of Google, which will no longer be the default
3. Fully funding MDN and Gecko via taxes on web sales and kickass branded swag
4. so-called "AI" will not be shipped
