a fragile, pale green, almost fern- or conifer- like strand of lichen grows straight up from a fence. around it, out of focus, is more lichens of various types. almost perfectly centered amid moss and pine twigs is a circular piece of light green-bordered-with-grey lichen with flattish branching pieces growing off a stick is a plateish-shaped lichen, whitish green on top and darker green underneath, with frilled edges strands of lichen hang from a grey branch. in focus in the center, one has a water droplet gathered at the very end
