It's a big task as YouTube has been around for 20 years now, but we can make a start by using other platforms that cannot be bought out by Google.
YouTube was originally independent, but because it was centralised it was very easy for Google to purchase it.
PeerTube is not centralised, it's spread out on many different servers and anyone can start their own pretty easily. It would be much more difficult for anyone to buy PeerTube out.
