Muting and blocking are really important tools on Mastodon. Mutes hide someone from you without them knowing, whereas blocks totally cut off contact with an account and prevent interactions.

To mute or block someone, go to one of their posts or their profile page and click ⋯, then select "Mute" or "Block".

Is this quoting by getting the URL when logged out? (As they can't see your posts when logged in?)

* climatejustice.social blocks threads (& flipboard, bsky/bridgy, etc.)
* mastodon.social doesn't
* someone on mastodon.social quotes someone on threads or whatever
* we can't avoid seeing those quotes unless we block/mute mastodon.social

Is this just with posts on centralised platforms like Threads, Bsky and Flipboard or is this happening with posts from decentralised platforms too?)
