For the record: I don't generally post pornographic material, gore, or subjects that I believe might reasonably cause harm or undue distress. And if I do, I would put them behind a CW.

But I do post about a variety of topics that may not be of universal interest, such as US law and politics, geeky technology stuff, ponderous art, and so on. Undesired exposure to my posts on those subjects is one of the risks of of following me. Feel free to block or mute me if that scares you.

I feel like someone on here figured out that CWed content never hits the trending page even if it would qualify based on activity.
But I can't find the post again to make sure I'm not misremembering.

It might be that dot social specifically only allows non CWed content to trend, maybe?

As far as I know CWed posts cannot trend on any server, at least I've never seen a CW post trending on any Mastodon server.

I don't recall seeing a CW post trend on any non-Masto Fedi server either? I could be wrong on that though.
