Hello again, something I've been wondering, posting something on a Lemmy group from a Mastodon client (Like Veganism Social.) actually publishes the post normally, right? So in this example with both an upvote and downvote button (Whereas Mastodon has Favourite.) and the same holds true for any other Fediverse service Mastodon can view the publishing of, right? It's not like you need a Lemmy account to post normal Lemmy posts, right? You can do that through Mastodon and it would be the same (Without downvoting view, though, I would think.).

If you're posting using an account on a Mastodon server (in your case veganism.social), then that is a Mastodon post on veganism.social.

Other types of Fediverse server may display that post to their own users using their own format, but the original version of that post is on your Mastodon server.

If there's a feature that other platforms don't have such as downvotes, the feature is ignored by other platforms.

However, common features are shown on both (e.g. favourites -> upvotes).
