Another nice feature on the Mastodon 4.5.0 update: more emoji! If you click the picker in the web interface you should see a lot more emoji to choose from.

There is now for example 🦣 which is a lot closer to a mastodon than 🐘

If there are emoji you want that still aren't there, ask your server admin to add them as custom emoji (more info about custom emoji: https://fedi.tips/what-are-custom-emoji-how-do-i-access-them-can-i-add-new-ones/).

@FediTips@social.growyourown.services I’ve seen a lot of Mastodon-related art and even third-party apps that use straight up elephants for art. Or wooly mammoths, most often.
