See here in the spec: https://ogp.me/#structured

If the linked site provides this tag, Mastodon is capable of passing the content along in the alt text of the embedded image. So it'd be up to you to add it to your WordPress theme or config, no idea how it works there.

It works on the preview for your link so Mastodon's web interface seems to be compatible.
