It's technically a link preview, if you click anywhere on it it will take you to the link I included in the post.

I am not sure how accessibility software handles link previews, that's a really good question! Maybe
@WeirdWriter@caneandable.social knows?

Previews are not something under the control of the person posting. Not all apps or interfaces generate them though, some just leave the link as it is.

The logos in the illustration are: Fediverse, Mastodon, Pixelfed, PeerTube

@FediTips@social.growyourown.services @WeirdWriter@caneandable.social Cool, Thanks! Think I’m gonna continue to describe them. Usually the link photo is from the article it’s linked to and they often don't do alt text on the image in the article.

It could get complicated as some previews may look different on different apps
😁😁

But it's great to help people out however you can

@FediTips@social.growyourown.services When the image in the link isn’t the first image in the article I sometimes just screenshot the articles main photo and add that image with the alt text function description. It tends to circumvent the image link. As an artist I’m very aware of what the visual world adds to any interaction I have, so I want to include as much as possible. πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
