You can search for posts by language in Mastodon by including the "language:" operator in your search. However, it requires knowing the language code for the language you want to include or exclude.

I've done a list of all the language codes used by Mastodon here:

For example if you include language:fr in your search terms it will just show results of posts in French.

This is totally separate from the language filter system for timelines:
