It's @logistics@social.eurybia.osx.ninja 1,000th post!

It's been 42 days since we started posting on the 21st of July.

Our cargo is now somewhere in the English Channel, between Rotterdam and Algeciras (the next port of call), and night is falling. It's late June/early July, so it will be "dark" for about four and a half hours (based on nautical twilight), and the cargo has been in transit for three days (the first two days of movie, via truck and train, are not full 24hr periods).

I've been doing some research, and the ship @logistics@social.eurybia.osx.ninja bot is on is the Elly Maersk (https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/details/9321536), a 399m container vessel with an average sailing speed of 17.7 knots, or about 20.4 miles per hour. It will take over 3 days to make this leg of the journey (according to https://app.searoutes.com), a distance of 1,434 nautical miles.
