I've considered that but i think the plastic might wear out? I don't know. But i already have a couple of 3" (7.5cm) torsion springs that hold about 7.5ftlb (10 joules) each. I had to change the arm geometry of my little catapult that was powered by one - it was snapping until i removed a bend and made it into a continuous radius

@RnDanger@infosec.exchange for that type of spring yeah, probably better to keep it metal.

With some work moving to a leaf type spring plus some gearing you could probably get some pretty decent force, but its probably not worth it when you have a few of those sitting around
