Hmmmmm...
That's interesting...
We might have bought a house in the Ottawa area of Canada...
Guess I should start looking for contractors to do some electrical, low voltage, internet, flooring, etc work up there for when we can take possession in November...

@warthog9@social.afront.org I can suggest an LV/Alarm/structured cabling company all in one. And I have biased opinions about ISPs ;)
@mWare@mstdn.ca Ohhhh, do tell!
Last LV guy who did the house here declared I was more than most medium businesses, and I knew more about what I was doing than them to boot ;-)
(to be fair he already wants to take a vacation and come do the next house so I must have done something right), but yeah reply or DM me what you got, I'm pretty much open to all the suggestions on those fronts right now.
(I mean, I have some opinions, but they aren't strong enough to be changeable)
@warthog9@social.afront.org http://homemetal.com/ He's a good friend of mine, we work together a bunch.
My company @ServerNorth@packetfactory.social can also do structured cabling, but we likely cost a lot more because we tend to do really bespoke stuff.
@mWare@mstdn.ca Ahhhh I see what ISP you are with. Yes if you guys have FTTH, or need someone to help alpha/beta test, I'm down to chat ;-)
Just can't click the "request invite" not-a-link
@mWare@mstdn.ca Potential silly bonus points if I bring a BGP AS + net blocks if you'd allow me to announce them ;-)

@warthog9@social.afront.org ... and you would be far from the first.
@warthog9@social.afront.org if you're okay with multi-hop and/or doing it over GRE, otherwise you can LOA us and we could announce over from 32881 if you wanted.
