@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange Oooh okay, I don't think this will work in this case very sadly. DentalE is very much a thing made by a specific company.
@literalgrill@sakurajima.moe ah then you can probably search for "DentalE apk", download it, and install it manually (after telling the phone 15 times 'yes I know it's scary and bad and stop playing nanny bot to me'"
@literalgrill@sakurajima.moe looks like https://apkpure.com/dentale/jp.dentalx.dentale has it
@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange See, that's the silly bit! I've had it installed from there for quite some time. Now all of a sudden, if I try to use it in any way, it tells me I have to "get this app on Play" and won't let me use it in any capacity.
It seems to use some sort part of Google Play to function, so I can't just keep it off the whole time. But even if I disable it while downloading or turn the Play safety scan part of the software off... It just still suddenly won't let me in. Can't figure out a good workaround yet.
@literalgrill@sakurajima.moe Though it's been a long time since I've checked which are the legit apk sites and which are the malware ones.
@literalgrill@sakurajima.moe You'll have to do some research
