The AI tide has brutalized people into a numb over-skepticism that leads them to reject art and imagination as a concept, despite those being the very things they want to protect through their skepticism

AI does not β€œdemocratise creativity” so much as drown it out in a morass of half-baked slop.

You are making a common mistake. Nanoraptor does not actually have any Photoshop skills to speak of. She has a portal to alternate universes and takes photographs of things she sees there, which she then pretends are original art. All of her so-called art is simply the result of pointing a camera through an inter-dimensional portal. Anyone with access to a similar portal could do the same.
