Neil BrownI have received a (genuine, as far as I can tell) Royal Mail tracking notification, for something posted using a 48 hour service, but apparently posted last week, to an address that I have not used for buying anything.
So I am a bit baffled.

jack@neil@mastodon.neilzone.co.uk today I learned you can just go to an energy provider's website, enter any address you feel like, and say "hello yes I would like to start paying for electricity/gas to these premises, effective from some point in the nearish future, here's a direct debit instruction to this effect" and they just take your word for it that you're related to/responsible for those premises now
