@imp3tuz@mastodon.gamedev.place yeah really great work ... very exciting to see!
@jdp23@neuromatch.social like I just scrolled through it a bit, and i had the biggest smile on my face! Hopping on my PC right now to migrate 😭![]()
@imp3tuz@mastodon.gamedev.place two of the many things that's so impressive about it is they (unlike almost every other social network in the world, very much including Mastodon) started thinking about moderation very early on ... and brought in a digital misogynoir expert to work on moderation as a core member of the team!
@jdp23@neuromatch.social thats so cool! And I wasn't really the biggest fan of how bluesky was looking due to it kinda just being twitter 3.0.
Having moderation being considered at the very start is sooo amazing! Now I wonder if at some point it'll be possible to bridge with my fedi stuff 🤔![]()
Oh I meant that Blacksky considered moderation at the very start. Bluesky did the usual nonsense of not implementing blocking up front, and their moderation is known for being anti-Black as well as anti-trans and anti-Palestinian. Also even at its best a "Twitter alternative" inherits Twitter's inherent problems (as well as what's good about it).
Still, the underlying architecture is flexible enough and Rudy saw how to leverage it to build a community that started on Bluesky but actually spans networks. Not sure if you've seen Rudy's AT Proto Conference talk -- it's embedded in https://web.archive.org/web/20250426150913/https://blog.rudyfraser.com/an-internet-of-many-autonomous-communities/, which is also great

@imp3tuz@mastodon.gamedev.place oh whew.

I think the page is down ?
@imp3tuz@mastodon.gamedev.place oh dear, perils of life on the tech cutting edge. https://web.archive.org/web/20250426150913/https://blog.rudyfraser.com/an-internet-of-many-autonomous-communities/ is an archive link, I'll updated it above as well.
