I’m in need of an emotional reset. Although the feellings of existential dread are always near at hand, I’ve been doing a pretty good job of not landing smack in the middle of them as of late. Not so much today. #DC is being taken over as basically a performative maneuver. It cannot lead to anything good. I’ve asked this question many, many times over the past several months. Why aren’t more people out inthe streets? There have been pretty impressive protests, but right now they feel like one-off events. I feel like it’s time for some sixties-style #CivilDisobedience and just messing with the status quo, because the status quo really sucks right now. If I could put my body on the line, I would. I’ll do what I can with my keyboard and my words. Right now I’m going to say something that I heard countless times when Barack #Obama was president. I hated hearing it then, but now I’m really feeling it. I want my country back!
