Mastodon Question. I sadly created this account using a Gmail email address. Is there a way to move this account but tie it to a different email address? @FediTips@social.growyourown.services

You don't need to move to a different account! You can change your account's email address by doing this:
1. Log in on your server's website (for you that's https://friendsofdesoto.social )
2. Click ⚙
️ Preferences (or ☰ and ⚙️ Preferences if you're on mobile)
3. Click Account (or ☰ and Account on mobile)
4. Type your new email address into the "email address" box, and enter your password in the "current password" box next to the email address
5. Click "save changes".

@FediTips@social.growyourown.services Thanks for the response. When I click on Save Changes I get a message that a notification e-mail will be sent but I never get it at either the old e-mail address or the new e-mail address. I've tried this from both android phone and windows laptop.
