The Makropulos Case is a thought experiment by Bernard Williams based on the JanΓ‘Δek opera The Makropulos Affair. The thought experiment is this: you are given a potion (without your knowledge) that extends your life by three hundred years. During this time your loved ones age and die, empires rise and fall. At the end of the 300 years you are offered the potion again. Do you take it and live another 300 years? #Philosophy

@dan613@ottawa.place Right now I would say, yes 300 more but I don't know what I'd say after actually experiencing close to 400 years of life.
