I'd bet on this being accurate.
Trump's understanding of economics is childlike. He's encouraging inflation, higher supply chain costs, reduced trade, and lower productivity, while viewing global economics as zero-sum transactional and having a focus on securing access to natural resources — as with the Ukrainian minerals deal/extortion.
I fear Ukraine is about to be sold down the river in exchange for Arctic drilling rights.
