The #IDF has just murdered the last on the ground journalists in #Gaza. Of course they’re saying he was Hamas, because everything that moves in Gaza is Hamas to the IDF. Keep in mind that the Israelis will not allow foreign journalists inside the enclave. No cnn, no bbc, nothing. They want to be able to genocide without too many pictures causing fundraising problems for the war machine.

Al Jazeera journalist Anas al-Sharif has been killed alongside four colleagues in a targeted Israeli attack on a tent housing journalists in Gaza City.

Seven people were killed in the attack on the tent located outside the main gate of Gaza City’s al-Shifa Hospital late on Sunday evening. They include Al Jazeera correspondent Mohammed Qreiqeh and camera operators Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal and Moamen Aliwa.

@MissConstrue@mefi.social There are other journalists, working either directly for Al Jazeera or as freelancers for other news orgs.

One is Hind Khoudary

then there is Hani Mahmoud, who doesn't seem to be on twitter.

I am sure there are quite a few others.

However, Anas was possibly the most outspoken, and got his snippets out on several social media sites, so he was possibly the best known.

@Miro_Collas@masto.ai Yeah, I know, but Anas had global recognition and serious chops. I didn't mean to disparage any of the journalists still on the ground, braving certain death to get the story out.
